Hello all, thanks for the warm welcome to the league. I am a huge Cubs fan, so finding a league with an open Cubs team was exciting.
As far as me building my roster, I know I have work to do. I have some nice pieces, but I am not planning any parades on the north side of Chicago anytime soon.
But to get to parade planning level, I am looking to build up my roster through multiple avenues, including trades. I am always happy to talk trades, and I know every conversation does not lead to a deal and I am okay with that. I am not looking to “win” every trade. I would rather find a deal that helps both teams. That leads to future deals.
I am looking for youth and good prospects. Some of you have prospects I really like, so I’ll be reaching out down the line. In the meantime, if you are a bat away from winning this league, consider a guy like Salvador Perez or Matt Chapman or Pete Alonso. Or if you need a pitcher, David Price or Mad Bum might be that missing piece.
