For explanation, Montas and France were going to be CO drops for me. I need to cap space, and I think we understand the challenges Eric has with this team so happy to add them to this deal. Gives him some capital to build with.
Minor league pitching I am sending over cover the penalty I did not want to pay for Martinez drop. Need the cap space, can replace the arms.
Based on how this may appear to an outside look, just wanted to clarify what this deal was, but both franchises benefit in the end.
