Had a few questions from newbs so I thought we should list them.
Left to answer/confirm:
2. Dates: a) MILB draft to begin b) rosters to be updated and checked c) trading to open d) MLB UFA opening, e) after MILB draft - opening of free add/drops on fantrax for MILB eligibles.
3. COs are only available for players chosen to your 3-non-rolls. If the player was not one of your 3-non-rolls, then their 2021 salary is considered locked/guaranteed.
4. Money traded follows the roll schedule of said player? (admin to confirm)
5. playoff bonus apply for 2021? If so, is the 2019 playoff status the qualification or the 2020 playoffs?
6. position eligibility - to pro-rate down for shorter season = 60 games * 20/162 = 7.4, so round up to 8gms
8. Schedule set up to revert back to face one team per week
Answered:
1. what is the 2021 draft order (draft in Jan-2022)? After we decided to roll contracts and get rid of the buy in and prize, but play out the season 'for fun', many GMs did not pay attention to fantrax. We could use the 2020 results regardless, as usual, or revert to 2019 results? Or some other method? TBD Answer: 2021 draft order appears set, it is based on 2020 results
7. free drop for new GMs? Answer: confirmed one free drop. Place in waiver thread with notation of the new owner drop.
9. To confirm if dodgers and orioles name change has been applied to 2020 and 2021 draft. Confirmed.

I'm going to tag onto this with a related question - waiver payments: I'm assuming 2020 waiver payments come off the books? Or are we rolling those to 2021 as well?

To the question about mine and the orioles draft spots I can confirm they are correct. The Orioles had the 1st pick

3. If player is rolled over and has CO it can be accepted or declined as usual with CO's
4. Money traded in 2020 stays in 2020.
5. 2020 Playoff teams get Playoff bonus.
6. Pro-rated to adjust for shortened season
7. Schedule will go back to regular pending change for shortened season.

3. If player is rolled over and has CO it can be accepted or declined as usual with CO's 4. Money traded in 2020 stays in 2020. 5. 2020 Playoff teams get Playoff bonus. 6. Pro-rated to adjust for shortened season 7. Schedule will go back to regular pending change for shortened season. A couple examples and questions.. #3 - players that had a CO in 2020 and rolled contract will have a CO in 2021 to decide. GMs need to post in the thread for 2021 CO decisions. Also, those of you that made a CO eligible player one of your non-rolls and then dropped them may want to reconsider that non roll decision now that this is different than thought before. #4 - a) does money traded that was previously scheduled for 2021 through 2025 move forward one year? Or are you saying that the traded money stays in the same years it was previously - i.e. prior owed 2021 money is still in 2021 and doesnt roll B) do teams that are recipients of 2020 trade money lose that edge in 2021? Would be useful for admin to show a couple examples. Suggest two: Kershaw on my team with 2020 contract 33m, $10m support from cubs and giancarlo Stanton who was traded with big long term salary support. Thanks!
